Question on Glacier Point in Yosemite...

Is there any entertainment value in the road to Glacier Point itself, or is it a camper-clogged tourist procession? I know the view at the top is awesome but I don't want to do the ride unless the road itself is worthy of my time. I'm thinking about going up there tomorrow as it's a pretty easy ride from my home.

I went up on a Wednesday a few weeks ago. Not very much traffic at all on Glacier Point road and the road was fun. I saw alot more traffic on 41 and I hate to think what it'd be like on a weekend. Regardless, the view at the top is definately worth the effort.

I've made that drive many times and never encountered "traffic". Every once in a while an RV will get stuck trying to make a turn, but other than that, well worth the time.

Very well worth it, myself and Motorad were up there last Saturday very nice road and ride and the view from up top not so bad either, for some reason four wheel traffic always seems to pull over for me don't know why...
maybe the Husky high beam burning there eyeballs out..

Timing is everything. If you go up at 1300 on a Saturday, expect traffic. 0700 on Wednesday, maybe not so much.....

Keep in mind, the speed limit in the park is 35mph.

That road continually asks to be ridden fast, especially towards the top.

Its even a spectacular view in the dark if you go up to Glacier point on a full moon. Very little traffic too.
