One year ago, we were only able to make it to the first parking lot due to all the snow. This year, the pass was already open. I was looking forward to playing in the snow.
  And checking out the sulphur smelling vents...  ...and the boiling mudpots.  The view? Incredible!

Climbing higher to the summit- nearly 9000 feet.
  We came to play in the snow.  Wes & Tim  Busa-snow-mobile.   The lake in the distance is Lake Almanor, Chester is on the north side.

Up & at 'em- down Hwy 70, the Feather River Canyon
  Only to discover Wes was riding around on 16 psi of air in the rear tire. Cycle Pump to the rescue.  All pumped up, back onto Hwy 70 and through several of tunnels. Always interesting to ride past a sign for the high water mark, which is 6 feet above the road.
