Fast Bikes @ Bonneville SpeedWeek '07

For the fifth year, I rode to Bonneville for SpeedWeek and photographed lots of bikes.

Two "V-twins"? "Inline 4"? "W"?

I guess it's probably just me, but trying to imagine those kinds of speeds on two wheels gives me the shivers.

Most of the riders are shivering, too.
After the first run of our friend's Model A, my brother and I drove out to tow it back. Nearby was a sportbike that had not cleared the course, and we ran out to push it off. The rider said he had ridden through the 4 mile marker. We said "Everybody rides through the marker". He said no, he had ridden through the marker. He had hit the PVC frame with orange mesh at 260 mph. He had orange streaks on his helmet and his fairing was smashed. His time had been recorded, and the next day he ran a second run for the record.

Wow! That's what I love about this forum - Bonneville, Sturgis, Iron Butts, Weekend rides, no matter - all motorcycle!! Awesome pics Eric! Every photo have to pause and stare at each bike for a bit- the tanks, wheels, forks, seats! Awesome!! Looks like great times!
