Mosquito Ridge Open?

Does anyone know if Mosquito Ridge Road all the way to French Meadows is open yet or still snowed in?

No, Unfortunately it is still closed. Not sure how far from Foresthill it is blocked off. We found out the hard way last wednesday. We took the back way into French Meadows Reservoir. Turned at Oxbow and went up forest road 2 and 25 I think. That road is open all the way through. When we started back on Mosquito Ridge Rd we found a lot of debris and snow. We crossed some snow and a downed tree with our Goldwings, not you best dual sport choice. A car had left the dam about 5 minutes before us and he turned around and came back. We eventually turned around and returned via Oxbow rd. Had lunch in Foresthill and then returned to Reno via Nevada City and highway 49.........

I was told on monday it is closed 23 miles in from Foresthill.

We were up there today cutting over from Wentworth but took Forest Rd 2 into MRR instead of going to the reservoir. As it was the road was in real bad shape. Gravel in a lot of places. This is the worst I remember seeing it in the last 2 years, regardless of time of year (well, the parts that are open year round).
