Don't second guess the left turn Mark. Maybe that was God also. You don't know what could've been down that road to the right. Please send best wishes to Brad. I enjoyed riding with him at to Camp Roberts. Knowing how well he rides, I'm sure there is nothing he could have done that he didn't attempt to do.
Get well Brad. You too Mark. Prayers are with you both.
Bob

Re: Brad (VFR Pilot) crashed his bike yesterday (in hospital now)

Brad, sorry about your accident, wishing you a speedy recovery.
I am recovering from a shoulder fracture myself after an accident May 30th
Just started riding two weeks ago.
That accident made me take a good look at the real risk that involves riding so I started riding again

Wow -- not the kind of news that I enjoy reading for sure!!!

Best of everything for you Brad - Recover/heal well.
Law Dawg (Mark) don't continue trying to sort things like this incident out it only makes it worse for you in the long run. Cause then ya end up second guessing way too many other things -- I know I've been there and believe me after spending 26+ years active duty Navy I've seen the best and worst people from several different countries - not just stateside. Things happen maybe even for a reason -- ya just can not always figure out the WHY!!!
I don't know you guys personally but I feel as though I do through this riding community -- you both have my highest regards and well wish's

Be well
Roger

Best of wishes to Brad on his speedy recovery! Mark, FJRME and Navy8ret could be spot on the money about the charma. I would chock it up as one of the well known risks of the sport we love. It could have been a LOT worse.

Brad, you are in my prayers.

I agree. I've watched Brad ride during SKII. He is a very capable rider. Brad, heal fast so we can again get together for a ride. Mark, thanks for the updates and good job with taking care of him after the crash.

Thanks y'all for the words of encouragement. I'm OK, just doing replays to improve future response (hope not to need it) and revaluating my outlook toward riding partners etc (it is a personal world view tune up... I don't expect all of you to ken). Brad is the one who is laid up, not me. Please focus on him so when he gets out a get well thread will be waiting. Don't forget his humor bone is very much intact...it is one of the things I really admire about Brad.

Judy and I will be dropping in on him this afternoon...surgery this AM. We will fill you in after. Stay safe and see y'all on the road. Oh and check out Larry's first aid thread...especially if you are a combat medic/corpsman.
