Quick Trip to Death Valley...

Started at the Ventura BMW Spring Open House. They didn't have a bike I could feel comfortable on (aka both feet touching the ground...or getting it off of the side stand) so I had to pillion with Carlos on the RRRRRRRR! My elbows were on my knees and the little seat on the back was less than comfortable. I did win a sweatshirt in the morning drawing (a tank bag last year) and then we were off to Ridgecrest. It was a bit windy... ok, really windy but nothing comparable to the October trip. The bike was unloaded, a quick nap happened and then off to check out the spring flowers. I think we were in the wrong part of the park, as there was little vegetation, let alone and flowers. We caught a nice sunset and I was able to get gas in Trona on the way back to the hotel. We had a nice sushi dinner at the Tokyo House Restaurant which was much better than settling for Denny's. An early start out to Antelope Valley to check out the poppy preserve and then a hot ride into LA and then arriving safely at home in Santa Barbara.
