Neither Wind, Nor Rain. The Season's Last Pashnit Tour

We have good luck. With the weather. And with all these years of running around California under beautiful sunshine, we finally hit some wet weather. But riders are riders, and we rode right on through it and enjoyed a great ride together.

Wind, rain, no matter. Always a fantastic view along California's Big Sur Coastline

While the riders headed up Nacimiento Rd to the top, I enjoyed photographing this stretch of coastline just south of Lucia.

We actually kept riding ahead of the rain, but each time we stopped, it caught up to us and started again.

The next day, sunshine was predicted. We found it, finally, on the Carrizzo Plain along Hwy 58.



However, I didn't even notice what lay ahead, even when I took the photo of it.

BJ's Triumph Tiger, interesting to talk to BJ, who'd flown out from Wisconsin for her second tour, chatting about when she was racing motorcycles in the 1970's, when there were some very strong stereotypes against woman riding motorcycles. For example, at the track, people refused to sell her gas because she was a woman biker. Times sure have changed.
