2007 Benelli TnT 1130

Good evening. I just joined the forum after doing a Google search for "Benelli TnT and Triumph Speed Triple". I got a link to this forum so I decided to join and post some photos of my 2007 Benelli TnT 1130 that I just got on Nov. 2, 2007. I sure would love to ride this bike up Mountain View Road in Sonoma County, CA sometime.

Cheers,
Ned

Welcome to the Forum, Ned, from a former Trumpet rider ('71 TR6). Very sweet Benelli you have there.

And a good choice of roads to wring it out on - one of my faves...

Re: 2007 Benelli TnT 1130

Welcome Ned and what a gorgeous machine you've got there!! I too had a lovely Triumph Sprint ST, only I couldn't seem to keep enough oil handy to satiate his cravings!! I am now on a Bandit 12S. Anytime you want to trade rides for a day or two let me know!!

Rob, I think i recognize Hwy 96 in the first pic(maybe) ...but where is the second one??? That looks like a GREAT road. Number 3 looks great too!

Hope to see you out riding sometime, Ned. That bike will definitely be recognizable!!!

Donna, all 3 pictures are of Mountain View Rd., between Boonville and the coast. Comes out to Hwy. 1 just a couple turns south of Manchester. Ned said he'd like to get that Benelli on it, so I thought I'd give a little preview.

Re: 2007 Benelli TnT 1130

Rob - Thanks for the greetings and for posting those gorgeous photos of Mountain View Road. They bring back fond memories of a bike trip Vanessa and I took to Sonoma County in Sep. '06 (and that I took in Sep. 95 and in Sep. 96). This time, we rented BMWs from Dubbelju Motorcycle Rentals in San Francisco (great folks), and headed up the coast for four days, staying at the Breakers Inn in Gualala. It was my third trip to the area on a motorcycle and I just love those roads over the Coastal Range. In fact, I planned our rides based on some of the recommended roads from Pashnit.com.

Donna - Thanks for the greetings and compliments on the Benelli. I too hope we see each other out on the road sometime. At 3% Angel 97% and Hooligan, you must be a blast to ride with. Vanessa and I each have a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST 1050 ABS (mine is silver, hers is blue), plus I have a 2006 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 which is quite another type of hooligan!

Kelly - Thanks for the greetings and compliments. Yes, that is me on TriumphRat.net. I've been on that forum a little longer, but am finding this one quite fun and welcoming too. I like the connection of this forum to the Northern California roads, some of my favorites. That is, in addition to the Skyline Drive in Virginia, Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and North Carolina and of course the twisties in the Deal's Gap area.

Cheers!

Ned

Re: 2007 Benelli TnT 1130

I was on Mountain View Road just a couple of weeks ago. Headed out of Booneville then to Manchester and up to Elk for our anniversary. Was caging it though, but have thoughts of coming back sometime on the motorcycle.

Re: 2007 Benelli TnT 1130

Please don't take this personally, but in my humble contrarian opinion, it seems many of the designs coming from Italy these days are very abstract and incoherent. If Picasso were to design a motorcycle, it would probably look like the new Benelli or maybe something from Bimota. Even Aprilia appears trending this way too. There is excessive discontinuity of lines and features seem deliberately malformed not for function but merely for effect. I dunno, I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say, but this type of new age Italian bikes are not my cuppa tea.

I applaud Ducati and Moto Guzzi for designing bikes with classic lines and features. Unique without being contrived or over the top.
