The first sign of good judgement is getting good gear!! Props to you my friend!! You can look around online for some pants to accompany that snazzy jacket YO! Hit Newenough.com or some of the other close-out places. You'll save a ton! J

Re: New Guy Got Gear!!!!
Buying gear gets addictive... in just one month I spent a little over $2600 in gear...
![]() Hi, my name is Matt... and I can't put my credit card down... that or somebody just needs to limit my internet access. But to be fair, $1020 of it was the race suit: ![]() Now that I've ridden the track, I've been spoiled by the no speed limit thing... and the street bores me. Added note... Get that ZX-6 of yours on the track! Seriously though... buy the best you can afford! It pays to pay!

Be careful with that because moto jackets are cut quite a bit longer in the sleeves and back on purpose. When you stretch your arms out to the handlebars, you don't want the jacket sleeves creeping up your arm. Remember, riding gear is made for riding, not standing around, so the cut is going to be quite different. If you have it tailored, you could ruin it as far as its intended purpose. I know everyone is built different, but I think it's very important to consider this very carefully before you have your expensive jacket modified.

![]() But yea thats pretty much all the gear I could afford for now, I just need to get some pants I think ill be ok for a while. Thanks for the info Paul! Your right. When i'm on my bike they don't bother me. Its just when i'm standing up trying to put on my gloves is when the get in my way .I will leave them as they are.

Very sexy Wes! Almost as sexy as me (oh, I'm sorry, I don't know you well enough to insult you like that!
). Good buy on the gear. I do strongly recommend a pair of riding pants also (for some reason, on Sept 6th, I highly recommend pants too. ).Quote:

Re: New Guy Got Gear!!!!
I have an Icon jacket like that (only black). It has proven to be very good quality. Also, good for all but very cold weather and very hot weather (really not too bad in the heat as the zippered vents work well.
I'm a gear whore, so I have a few jackets, but the Icon gets the most use.
