Re: Sac Raceway Motorcycle Drags - July 16th

Wife and I once went to the Jet Drags here. Now that was something!

My brother's favorite story is drag racing his Nisson Maxima here with the baby seat still in the rear.

My Cavalier has three baby seats - You think they'd let me run?

yep
http://www.geocities.com/willyougo/index4.html

my favorite part was pulling a stock looking 97 maxima with car seat in back and smoke all the rice boys. they just could not believe that a 4 door car with baby seat would run a 15.5

i was just their on a wensday night racing my integra. it was slow only 16.7 at 84mph

when i took the FJ1200 their i ran a 12 second flat 118mph with a slipping 2nd gear.

I've always believed racing is 80% driver, 20% car. (or bike)

I've never raced (legally) though, so I wouldn't know.

when i was there, saw a busa do a 10.14 at 140mph. smokin!

reaction time is everything. My third race i pull a 00 light- left exactly at the green- the car next to me did a .600 reaction time. I beat him to half track running a 17.00 second quarter while he did a great top end charge with a 14.00 100mph quarter. on the street i would have beat him to the next light because of my better reaction time

wont go back unitl i replace my clutch and transmission mount, both of which are shot.

I will try to make it. I know the SoCal Hawg Riders are havin a burnout around that time here. Its going to be a overniter. I hope to either have a modified wheely bar or strechted swing arm before it all kicks off. How long is the track and do they have the professional or standard tree?

Scooterd145 I will try to call you the next time i go out their. Bring the bike!

Remember to bring lots of water if you are coming during day as it gets real hot - it was 97 out on a wensday night at 7 and felt like 110 degrees out on the asphalt and they do not have a water fountain anymore. Slurpees are $3 waters $2.50

bikes use a professional tree, cars use .500 tree or full tree. Notice for Wensday nights no wheelie bars are allowed. However on saturdays they are allowed.

when i went with bike the Pro Tree caught me by suprise.
