153 photos from the old days.

Hi all, I have one folder at Google Picasa web albums with old AMA Pro race photos in it. A number of people showed interest in those photos. So I sent all my old slides in and have them transfered to a CD. Then I just put all of them here.

http://picasaweb.google.com/billxmailman/AllMCPhotos

So you will see a spectrum of old photos from 1966 to Mid '70's. Enjoy. I will get around to labeling them in the near future.

Bill

Man you just made me feel old. I remember those faces, we were so young then. I need to did into some old boxes and find my old pics from the same time frame. Evel at the Sac Mile & the Cowpalace. I look forward to seeing them labeled. I would gladly pay you for a copy of the CD if you are willing to share.

Wow, this brings everything back! Thanks for the cool flashback. It makes me want to pop in my "On Any Sunday" video and reminisce about the good ol' days. I grew up in Riverside, CA about a mile from Malcolm Smith's motorcycle shop, and my brother, I, and the local boys would hang out at his shop and drool over the Yamaha AT, CT, DT, RT enduro's, Husky's, Hodaka's, Penton's...it was cool seeing Malcolm around as well.

Thanks. I like it when technology didn't always rule the roost. (ok, Rossi aside)

Technology has only elevated the playing field...brain power still trumps all others.

Today very few can win repeatedly on even slightly inferior machines; back in the 60s and 70s I think the numbers were greater, that is my point. 100% unquantifiable, but it is how I certainly recall things and I'm happy to stick with it.

PS. Cool helmet!

Sklywag, Bill, just PM your address and I'll send you a CD. Whenever you place your photos on a CD you can send me a copy.

I added as many names as I could remember to the photos. I'll need help on some of them.

Go here. http://picasaweb.google.com/billxmailman/AllMCPhotos

Also at the end of March there will be an indoors race in San Jose. New riders plus an old timers race.

Have to do a little yard work and then a short ride, I hope.

You might consider emailing Gene Romero and getting his input. You can find him at WCFTS.com (West Coast Flat Track Series).
