I'm sure not everybody wants every thread showing up in 'New Posts' and 'All posts'. Now you have the option to exclude certain forums in which you do not want to see every new reply.

Click this link and scroll all the way to the bottom
or
To navigate there on your own:
UserCP > edit options > scroll to the bottom

To select more than one forum to exclude, hold the CTRL button while you click the appropriate forum.

Ok if the future is here, and I know that it is, cause I've seen some threads with text in between the pics. How do I do it? I just posted a bunch of pics of the Hot Rod show in Reno and I'd like to be able to identify the cars.

Ray, I just went thru all the posts yesterday to find out how to do the same thing. I came across this one. Hope it helps.

Thanks Renee, thats exactly what I was looking for. I used that procedure on my post in the misc photo thread to identify all the pics I posted for the car show in Reno last Saturday. I would like to add one thing I found out by trial and error. You need to make sure there is a space after the text and before the photo is inserted. Otherwise the photo will wind up in between your line of text.

I really appreciate the assist.

Thanks again,

Ray

Any other questions let me know Ray - the forum in terms of mechanics has some really neat tweaks that allow you to do things quite easily once you try it a few times. John's thread is really informative and great material to absorb.

I know that we can now post text between our photos. How do I do that?

Read the whole thread, silly!

There's a link to a how-to a few posts above your question.

Re: How to use this forum... Posting pics & other things

It works really easy once you try it. In a nut shell, upload the pics then in the post, when you are typing there is a small paper clip to the right of the smiley face on the tool bar. You can select which pic (by file name) you want to have following the text and the program will insert the pic at that point. Just make sure there is a space after your last letter of typing before you insert the pic and it will be in the right place. The thread that Gary linked to is the one that had the instructions I followed and it works great.

HTH,

Ray
