Police Motorcycle encounter

Two Fresno PD Motor Cops Lectured our large group of riders Sunday. These two Motor Officer Instructors were involved in the first of it's kind Slow Speed Maneuvering Skills Demmonstration. And while they were not actually training us, some of us did avail ourselves of the cones left out after they did their excellent demonstration!

First off I met Megan and Bryan and Bryan's new Baby at the red caboose. Good eats Y'all! Then over to the new BMW shop on Clovis Ave. conveniently located within walking distance of City Lights. Around 0915 we made our way yo Woodward Park with a CHP escort

It's Late, More tomorrow.......you know the drill!

Re: Police Motorcycle encounter

Busted!!

The format was; Officer O'Dell rode the demo while Officer Troehler (that's just cruel ) explained the important control aspects of what his partner was doing with the motor. 'Easy" I thought.....

The first pattern was an offset weave. Not like the MSF's offset weave! Theirs was a series of perpendicular figure eights. Lots of planning to line up for the next gate.

He did a slow lap, a faster lap, then a one handed throttle only lap. The last lap got applause from the crowd.

Dude! Check your photo again. He did a Clutch only lap. That is his right hand waving at us! That, takes skill

I had a great time. I have lots of great photos, but my USB cable has gone missing. Once I find it, I will post more photos.

Re: Police Motorcycle encounter

Fantastic pix! Nice shot with the 'clutch only' lap. My daughter noticed and pointed it out to me before I caught it. She just turned 10. I'm so proud.
That looks like an awesome refresher program that I would love to jump in on. Do you think they run your name through the database upon registration? I was just...um...wondering because a friend asked.
