Re: SunUp Ride on a busa
To get there, stuck to the goat.
Hale Rd which is inbetween Fiddletown and Volcano. Really too early for photos, hold very still for 1/10th of a second. Hale Rd has this fun lil water crossing. Very goaty stuff. ![]() |

Re: SunUp Ride on a busa
Ostrom Rd is another fun lil ride tucked away, easily missed connecting Fiddletown with Hwy E16.
Yes, wineries as far as the eye can see. Which isn't far b/c it's pretty hilly. ![]() The new Adaptiv TPX Radar at work. Although too early for everyone. ![]() |

Re: SunUp Ride on a busa
First sign of the sun coming up over the horizon.
Tour season for me starts this coming weekend with the very first Pashnit Tour of the '08 season with the new BackRoads Tour. Another year on the busa riding all over tarnation. Looking forward to it. Hope all of you get a chance to experience a sunrise or two this season on the bike as the snow melts, the frost goes away and the days get longer. Pashnit Edit: Trip pics of BackRoads California Tour are here - clicky |

Re: SunUp Ride on a busa
Btw, here's a map. Ostrom Rd doesn't even show up on this map (my kinda road) but it connects Fiddletown (way on the topside of the map) with Hwy E16 to the north. Oddly enough- the super-goat of Hale Rd you can see making it's way south from Fiddletown connecting to Shake Ridge Rd. Charleston Rd connects to Volcano, after that Hwy 26 continues for a north-south ride that avoids people, main roads, towns, etc.

Good to see the Blue Beast is back out there.
I love these local signs, there is so much friendliness behind them. There are real pieces of Americana too. I have never seen anything like that in France, for example. -- Eric |
