OK Bakersfield area riders...Hwy 58 calls

This Saturday (3/29) Mrs Law Dawg and I will be riding Hwy 58 to points unknown. Hwy 229 will be involved and it may be a trip to Morro Bay for lunch. The kitchen pass only permits a part day ride with the bride as "there are chores to get done" Any fork in the road could be the place we set the next destination.

Hwy 59 is in full riot mode with wildflowers...drove (shudder) it this weekend. It is the most brilliant I have ever seen it. This will be a very short window bloom season due to the drying conditions so don't wait.

When? 08:00 (kick stands up at 08:15)

Where? B-town Rosedale Hwy at Allan Rd Chevron.

Attire? Attgatt prefered, minimum level gear accepted. What's "minimum" you ask? Moto jacket, moto gloves, helmet, boots, and jeans. If you arrive unprepared Law Dawg reserves the right to send you on a different route. My pace will allow for the slowest rider (within reason)...Law Dawg is a benevolent dictator. Others can set their own pace and pause for us flower smellers to catch up (if you chose to leave the ride please give the group a heads up so we don't waste our ride searching for you). Outright dangerous riders that refuse to rein it in will be kicked to the curb. So if you are a newer rider this ride is a go for you (ride tips will be dispensed during the ride).

Bring your camera and some water. Did I say bring your camera? There will be frequent stops for photo opportunities. 58 looks like God took an air brush to it...entire hills painted yellow and orange. The colors are so bright, neon seems the best descriptor.

So who's in?

doood...why is it always a saturday? doesn't anyone but me ride on sundays? I can't join due to El Diablo duties, other wise I woulda rode out to 33 to meet you.

Don't forget to take a side trip out shell creek road off of 58 for a few miles, good flower show out there also.

Let me know if you decide to hit morro bay for lunch.I could probably drive over with El Diablo, have a snack and say howdy.

This sounds like a great time to ride Hwy 58. Unfortunately, tax season is not forgiving on Saturdays (Sundays occasionally I can sneak away). Enjoy folks, I'll be with you in spirit.

Ya know, Brad, Larry's got an empty seat on the FJR. Just don't let him use any of those pins and screws in your leg to lash you onto the bike

What's the itinerary? I'd love to join you (if Mark's not pissed about the home schooling dialog ), but I've got to be back in L.A. by early afternoon.
