Idea - Great California Pashnit "Relay" Ride

I found Pashnit when I returned to motorcycling 6 months ago. Reading the threads has been both entertaining and educational. Its appears that while alot of the Pashnit riders live in the Northern California area, there are Pashnit enthusiasts spread throughout the state.

I would like to suggest an idea for a Pashnit ride. Border-to-border. The ride would be a little different in that individual riders would participate in that portion of the ride near their home. Pashnit would lay out a route (perhaps up the coast, then inland to Sacramento and up to the border) and the "approximate" times it would pass thru different areas. We would also designate layover or join the ride spots. Then a Southern California rider like myself might be able to pick the ride up along the southern portion of the route, ride the day with the group and maybe stay overnight at a layover.

This would be sort of big relay ride. Ride with the group awhile and then "tag" hand it off to the next group joining the ride. This would give some of us who like this board to meet some of the other visitors.

Participation in the ride would "cost" five photographs, sent to someone to organize and put together for everyone to view.
