The coastal fog atop Bolinas Ridge Rd.

One thing about coastal fog is it doesn't just sit there. At least not along these coastal mountains. See the tunnel above the road? The fog flows up the steep hillsides and underneath it we slide!






This one feels a bit spooky.

Absolutely beautiful ride through the coast redwoods though on Bolinas Ridge Rd.

And through the tiny town of Nacasio



Recently enjoyed some of the shots forum members have taken of small towns across America, or whereever they live & ride.

So I shot some town pics along our ride with that in mind.

On Wilson Hill Rd, this little tiny school house caught my eye

See the ocean? Very Marin County, all these backroads lie along the Pacific Ocean and stuck back in these rolling hills, Just ranches and houses hidden back in the hills covered in rolling green grass.

Plus armed and ready with my nifty new Adaptiv TPX Radar Detector. Hwy 1 is just around the bend up there.




Coulda swore I've read somewhere about the history of his little red church in Marshall, but couldn't seem to dig anything up.

Possibly it's just a little red church.

Onto Hwy 1 and northerly bound for NorCal.





However, why stay on Hwy 1 to get there?

This is Dillion Beach Rd headed out of Tomales to... Dillion Beach.




The road Y's, and check this out.




This is brand new pavement on Valley Ford Franklin School Rd - which parallels Hwy 1.

I'm not a big fan of the tourist traffic in Bodega Bay, so a little detour was in order.



Bay Hill Rd skirts around this congested town.

Goaty but good!




Incredible views. See that blue-ish glow?




View of Bodega Bay. The penninsula you see, you can ride all the way out to the very tip and watch whales swimming on by.

Bring a wind breaker.
