New Forum!! - what are Themed Photo Threads?

Okay, so the name is sort of dumb-sounding, but it's the best I can come up with right now.

Lately been dwelling on this idea for awhile. The Pashnit Forum has slowly developed into a massive body of predominantly ride photography- well over 100,000 photos in 3 years. Hard to count the hyperlinked stuff, but it's a guess. Background software that powers this forum is completely designed around facilitating posting up pics, and lots of them.

So... This forum is for Themes.

What is a themed forum thread?

Pick a theme. It could be bridges. Old tractors. Old trucks. Trees. Flowers. Food. Things we see while out riding. Things that interest us. Things that make us pull over and get out the camera. I've got pics of rivers, sunsets, National Parks, big rocks, victorian houses, apples, punkins, mountains, clouds, roads, grassy hills, just thousands of photos of stuff that makes me want to get on the bike and ride off into the sunset.

That's a theme you can sink your teeth into.

As a general idea, this is a forum for threads about very specific things that everyone can post up, add to collectively and enjoy the pics.

Perfect example oddly enough is Joe's Unmoto Photo Thread. One of the best all time threads in Pashnit Forum history! Haven't seen this one, be sure and allocate some time to scroll through the photography. Amazing stuff.

Another example is we've got a thread just for Hwy 1 Big Sur photography. Another for just Hwy 58, one of Central Cal's most beloved motorcycle roads. Photographs well too.

Have fun out there riding. And pick a theme.

My job takes me to various cities where my employer operates. Within those officies, I find many people doing the same thing, but calling it something different. I kind of see that happening here.
I found this email via the new post link. I took a look at the main forum thread to find the 'official' title and saw the various things that have been either posted here or moved here. I suggest that Tim establish a dozen broad categories to assist in the organization of these threads so that those broad themes are followed. Otherwise the titles that posters choose may not be readily recognizable to others.
How many times have I named a file I create only to search for it later? The name made sense when I came up with it, but isn't necessarily the same thing that comes to mind later. Of course, maybe that's just my senility kicking in....
BTW, I love the idea of these themes!
