Ride up to Big bear mtn, and a couple detours...

My fiance, had to study all day , so i decided to take off on a trip from san bernadino county to Big bear Mountian. On previous rides, i have never really taken photos before, but i decided to stop off on the many turnouts on the 330 interstate. on these pics notice the wild flowers, and the crow that is waiting to eat me when i crash .
Thier were so many other motorcycles. They roads were pretty challenging after about 3000 feet. The water is so blue on big bear lake, and i was surprised to see some trees in southern california , On the way back down the mountian , i had to take a detour, back through 18 highway , i guess some one let the good times roll too much .

As i took the detour i went through Arrowhead , you can see all the fire damage, from about two years ago . hopefully you can see some of the burned trees, mixed in with the regrowth , as i was leaving on the highway 18 , thier was another detour, because of a fire. i guess i just got to ride more, and ride back down a crazy to lane road, i was going way to fast for my own good being chased by a dodge magnum , anyways let me know what you think of the photos, i recomend the ride though. will post more after work ,

Say Brandon, just a suggestion. Next time you are up that way take the time to search out Highway 38. It's not easy to reach on the south end as it ends in town away from the 10 freeway. It's a great ride.

Big Bear is one of my favorite rides during the week when I'm sick (of work) and need to go out for coffee!

Do you get up this way very often?
