Re: What's in your gear closet?
Let's see....
I got 1st gear, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear and 5th gear. Haven't gotten around to adding a 6th yet, but keep grabbing for it. I'm a fashion emergency, but have some gear(s). I got a bunch of riding jackets from mesh to leather, some riding pants from mesh to leather, more t-shirts with riding logos than you can shake a stick at, summer riding boots, winter riding boots, goggles, night glasses, day glasses, walking around glasses, reading glasses, extra glasses, summer gloves, winter gloves, in between gloves, rubber gloves for oil changes and shaping hamburgers, not neccesarily in that order, and of course my nails match my bike. Don't yours? Oh yeah, I have a set of allen wrenches, first aid kit, keys, extra keys, lock and key, batteries, flashlights, leatherman, map bag, maps, GPS and and and and.... Did I miss anything? Oh yeah. Helmets... 3/4, full face, and a Schuberth that I wear all the time. Beanie doorag, babushka doo rag, and an extra ball cap or two. (BTW~most everything is CE armored and suitable riding gear.) |

Re: What's in your gear closet?
Too much...or at least that is what my wife would say.
Helmet: Shoei RF1000 Helmet: Shoei RF800 Jacket: Tiger Angel 3/4 length gore/textile sandwich. Incredible waterproof jacket from Australia Jacket: Tourmaster textile w/ liner Jacket: Joe Rocket mesh Pants: Tiger Angel gore/textile. Go with jacket. Awesome in bad weather. Pants: Fieldsheer mesh (with good armor/padding) Pants: First Gear leather overpants Boots: Sidi Sympatek. touring boot Liners: Gerbing Jacket and pants liners Gloves: Too many to list. Everything from Gerbing G3's to cheap mesh. You can never have too many gloves. It's rather frightening when you list it all out.

Re: What's in your gear closet?
Jacket - Textile: BF Dakar
Jacket lines: Gerbing Pants - Textile: can't remember name. Daily use, getting worn Pants - Textile: BF Dakar Helmet: Schuberth C1 (daily) Helmet: Airoh (spare) Gloves - Leather: yes Gloves - Weather/Winter: yes Gloves - Weather/Winter: Gerbing Boots: Daytona (daily) Boots: can't remember (spare) hearing protection: alpine The dakar jacket/pants have detachable water and insulation layers, so are basically all-year. The can't remember pants have a thinner insulation layer, but with the very mild winter we had and the excellent wind/water protection of the ST1100 / ST1300 I ride I've basically used those all year too. And need to buy a thinner spare / summer jacket as well at some point. Bram

Re: What's in your gear closet?
Gear closet? I have a closet? You just said that to make me go look didn't you?
If I found a closet here I'd be in the wrong house!![]() I have one jacket, count'm, 0ne! 1 Fieldsheer Aqua Tour jacket w/liner 2 Tourmaster "Jean" trousers 1 pair 1st gear trousers that I got real cheap because of a broken zipper which I got a friend to fix for me. 1 pair Xelement engineer style boots 1 pair of riding gloves with carbon fiber knuckle inserts 1 Icon Alliance type 1 ff helmet 1 AGV Dragon 3/4 helmet Everything I have was either on sale, discontinued or used and I was glad to get it. This fixed income business sucks. Since this was first posted I've added: Tourmaster Draft Air mesh jacket w/ liner Fieldsheer Mercury over pants Fieldsheer mesh trousers short boots Fieldsheer Sugo one piece rainsuit HJC CL-Max modular helmet |

Re: What's in your gear closet?
Leather:
tie-sided thick leather jeans thick leather fringed jacket waistcoat with patches Winter (ok for a mild winter...) ixon gloves mid season (supposed to be winter - hah!) furygan gloves summer military issue goretex lined gloves high firefighters goretex lined boots (fantastic kit but not much feel) 'oh dear' bad weather clothing Cold weather NATO issue M65 coat Russian military winter overtrousers and jacket (stupidly warm) Mullion 'offshore hostile waters' very warm floatation jacket and salopettes. (You simply cannot get wet in these, combined with the Russian gear you literally warm up on a ride in anything down to -5. Tested on a longish run at -17 and warm as toast). British army gotetex jacket, sallopettes, over-gloves (very waterproof, for use over leathers) British army arctic warfare gloves & goretex outer gloves. (totally warm in any weather but lack feel) Flexothane commercial overtrousers (cheap and completely waterproof). Sorry folks, no armour, but I've worn this for years.... blah blah...
