Spring Adventure

I took advantage of my 2 weeks off in May and decided I would fly to the lower 48 and check up on the bike I have stashed in Colorado Springs. After a day of making sure nothing had happened during winter storage, I decided that our son in Las Vegas needed a visitor for a few days.
I got an almost early start, 0900, from Colorado Springs and it was a beautiful day, even over Monarch Pass. By the time I got to Montrose Colorado I decided that I could ride all 830 miles to Henderson NV in one day. Needless to say, because of that decision not many photos where taken on the way to Vegas. I got to my sons apartment around 2300 hrs, looked at Zumo and found out I only stopped 1 hr and 15 minutes during the 13 + hr ride. I think an Iron Butt is in my future!
While in Vegas I sat around the pool and planned the ride back to Colorado Springs. I decided to ride through Southern Utah, Capitol Reef National Park, then on to Colorado where I could go see Black Canyon of the Gunnison and on to Colorado Springs. Well Global Warming caught up with me on the way back, so a winter storm watch with 5 to 7 inches of snow , hail, rain, and 40 mph winds kept the camera in the tour pack most of the way back, but I am posting a few of the photos I did take.

I will definitely be back through this area again, but later in the summer when the camera can come out of the tour pack more often.

Great pics! Makes me want to call in "sick" for the rest of the week and head out for some fresh air.

Jeff, I love the composition in those pics. The one of the bike and the windy road was perfect! Yep, you need more vacations!

Anytime your stashed Harley needs some fresh air let me know. I would be more than happy to take it for a walk...

The few shots you took are great.

Re: Spring Adventure

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. I have a 6 week vacation coming up in July and August. I'll be breaking out the Harley for another trip, hopefully the weather will be a little more co-operative.
