perhaps we should have ridden to rainier... but we are going to be in renton for 2 weeks in august... so we will have time for that...

so we wanted to see the washington coast... we headed out on wa 4 from longview then wound down by the columbian river to astoria... we headed up to long beach... then us 101 to south bend... then wa 6 to wa 506 and back to longview...

it was a glorious day... the roads were good... and for all who say the 101 is better in oregon... im thinking you are absolutely correct...

very windy... but this sail boat couldnt get his sails full on the columbian...



we conclude there are lotts o lazy horses in washington...



we found the dungeon... im thinking bad things happen here...



grays river covered bridge...







whooa... the columbian just east of the astoria bridge...



willapa bay...



the south washington coastal towns have seen better days...

but the mountain towns are good... this is pe ell on wa 6...







when the bug eye brick gets to 8500 rpm it get a little blurry...



but you get to where you are really fast...



mt rainier in the distance from wa 6...



thats all folks... next weekend hells canyon and lolo pass..
