Rattlesnake Hells Canyon Salmon River Area WA OR ID 06-21-08
riding the rattlesanke... wa 129 south out of clarkston wa... then it becomes the or 3... also known as the enterprise lewiston highway... like many roads we encounter... we were wondering who wanted a road here and why...
if you you little dragon riders have not ridden the rattlesnake... get your superior skills up here at least once... there was 1 rv and 2 cars on it the whole way... nice... here you go...           greetings from the cloven hoofed beasts of the open range...   this is where we are headed...  this is where we have been...   out of the rattlesnake... filled up the bug eye brick in enterprise or... headed to joseph or...    filled up me in joseph or... the embers... you gotta eat...  more later... i am johnny owrstrich and i approve this post... |

 wallowa lake or...   or fr 39 from joseph to oxbow...        or 86...   snake river from oxbow...  heading into hells canyon...    this little lady never moves as she was looking away as we stopped beside her... the she winked at us and jumped out of sight...  the end of the road... hells canyon...    heading out of hells canyon...    i am johnny owrstrich and i approve this post... |

      somewheres along us 95... the salmon river... rainy and dark... we come to ride... and ride we did...    570 miles... 18 hours... we pulled off... turn the bug eye brick off... there was absolutely no light source... it was spooky... near total darkness... there you are... baby longhorn sheep... he he he...  i am johnny owrstrich and i approve this post... |

It's looks like you are becoming the photographic ambassador to Washington. Your pictures are such a pleasure to look at. Stopping and taking pictures is what I do least best. I just can't wait to see what is around the next bend...
As for traffic, you are dead on. Not a one to be seen. And Speed Tax Collectors, I have yet to see a single one on those roads. |

the call of the wild can not be ignored... princessbeemie... my job is to not wreck... the photog is that crazy wench micki... who photogs from the passenger seat... and wants me to stop more than i do... the bug eye brick just wants to eat miles... its beyond my control... ogmike... just giving back to the folks who helped get us here... demenshea... i see you are going to ride the rattlesnake on your next big adventure... its between f and g on your route map... it looks cool but its hot... there is a nice river at the bottom of the rattlesnake if you need to soak your feet...   j o |

Thanks for the great photos and preview of what I will be seeing when the Roseburg Oregon HOG club (21 of us signed up) will be doing the Hells Canyon run through Joseph. Can't wait to get there. Thanks again.
