Alturas Ca. I wanted to go thru Suzanville Via Hwy 36, but, it was closed from fires. I drove up 99 into Alturas, up 395 into the Oregon "Outback" country

The Last of the Happy California Cows! Oregon Border at Goose lake region



Alkali Lake in Oregon, smells like a sour ocean, very remote area.



The "Oregon Outback"! I stopped several times just to admire the place. It was so quiet. If I crashed out here they might not have found me for some time. 165 miles of nothing, no gas, houses, people.
