Road 620-628 (559 area) First part.

Went out for a ride this morning to check out some roads Matt (Toyuzu) told me about. I started out heading north on 41 from Oakhurst towards southgate Yosemite. Just past Rd. 222 I made a left onto Road 620. A very fun road to ride with some nice views of Oakhurst. It is paved for about the first 6 miles then becomes dirt until you get to Rd 628.



When I reached Road 628 (you can either go straight to 49 in Ahwannee or make a right to go to Miami Trails) I made a right and took Forest Service Road 6S19. This Road was lots of fun. The surface was surprisingly smooth without ruts and lots of s-turns and hairpins. I will post pictures in 2nd part of ride.

Looks good so far, Don. Folks, I think Don just might win the award for most miles ridden regularly on a dual-sport. I see him out on it every weekend, and most evenings after work. Then again...Maybe he's just stalking me.

Nice post Don. Did you pick this up off of Hwy 41? Any landmarks to help find the entry point? Really liked the pics, especially the 180 deg switchback as the dirt looks smooth Keep these reports coming.

There are several ways to get to this area, the way i went was from Road 628. You can also get there from Highway 41 (Miami OHV trail area). I have a county map but it does not show some of the roads. The road with the switchback was Forest Service Road 6S14. I still have some more exploring to do up there will post more soon.

LOL answer to #1. Soon.
#2. As soon as i read the booklet to figure out how to turn off setting. To tell you the truth, I was just glad I was able to figure out how to post them, I realized the date setting after the fact. I have about 75 pictures from that ride. Its hard to decide which ones to post.

A question for you. Should I downsize them a little bit? If so what size is ideal as to not take up too much bandwidth? Thanks.

Don, as for down-sizing, those were actually a little smaller than most people post here, so no worries there.

I think the general rule of thumb is no larger than 800 X 600 pixels.
