The Oregon Coast
The wife and I took a couple down the Oregon coast for their first time. I love the ride down the coast into norcal, I've down it 5 times in the last three years. We took the ferry to Port Townsend, the girls were in a hurry to get back on the bikes. While waiting for the ferry managed to get a few pics of three young herons waiting for their mom to return. Their nest was at the top of some pilings that help hold the ferry in place.

Re: The Oregon Coast
The first pic is of a boat returning to the habour, taken under the bridge in Depoe Bay. The next pics or of a habour seal that was waiting for scraps to thrown to him by the guides who were cleaning the customers fish. It was very cute how he would wait and splash his fins trying to get their attention. He would also spin in a circle too, whatever it took to get a free meal. His hard work did get rewarded.

Re: The Oregon Coast
We stopped at many beautiful spots to look at the sites along the coast of Washington and Oregon. These shots were of Heceta Head Lighthouse and the surronding bay. Girls enjoyed the beach along with many other travelers too.

Re: The Oregon Coast
While in Oregon we stopped at the Dunes so Alex and the girls could go on a dune buggy ride. I stayed behind with the bikes to get caught up on some writing. They were strapped in tight by their driver Justin and all made it back in one piece. These poor drivers were so tired from working six days a week lately due to some staff who had quit and others who were sick. They really enjoyed the trip and recomend it to any passing through who have not tried it before.

Re: The Oregon Coast
We spent a lovey night in Cresent Beach, below are the girls on the beach after we parked for the night. Stayed at a motel a very short walk from the beach. I've stayed here before and have always enjoyed Cresent Beach.

Re: The Oregon Coast
Chris and I got up early to take a walk along Cresent beach and the wharf before Alex and Paula got up. She loves to collect shells and I love walking with the wife in such a beautiful spot.

Re: The Oregon Coast
While out for our early morning walk Chris caught sight of this cute little guy. She never misses a chance to visit with the dogs on our trips, helps with missing our dogs at home. This little guy sure was cute!

Re: The Oregon Coast
We took a little different route back from the morning walk. Cut through the wharf and fishing dock. The habour seals and sea lions were out early, the sea lions were very vocal, could hear them long before we could see them. A little further down the wharf we came across the hair salon. Would never have thought of seeing this on a working wharf.

Re: The Oregon Coast
On our way back to Vancouver we spent a night in Brookings. We stayed at a motel I've not stayed at before in my passings through Brookings. Nice motel under new ownership, freshly renovated and reasonably priced. Two doors down was a newly wed couple who was on their honeymoon with their dog. This puppy couldn't wait to get into the mini he loves the car. Once his dad had placed his bed in the back of the car he was just waiting for the okay to jump in. Once in he would not come out for anymore pics, just love to drive!
