Ride to Motion Pro

Recently Motion Pro asked BARF owners of Suzuki bikes for help in fitting and testing their brake lever and some switches for Suzuki bikes. So I gave them a call and set up a time to drop by.

Well today I made the trek from Antioch to the Motion Pro location in San Carlos. Here is my trip report

150.8 miles round trip
$6.49 for gas
$4.00 for toll
Brought home this

Had the opportunity to meet Rudy - Larry and a few others at the shop = Priceless.

Awesome people and neat place!!!

If you would like to see a few pics of the place ya can check out this thread - she (masameet) posted up - great shots - if anyone remembers a guy by the name of Chris Carter (owner of Motion Pro) who used to race there are good pics of his bikes and some he restored. Sure wish I was able to get the tour but it ended up being a late afternoon appt.

^^Oops almost forgot she hangs out here too ^^

By the way they M-Pro still needs some Suzuki models so if you could help them out - I'm sure they won't complain - and it's free tool stuff

Update (27 Aug 4:00 pm)no more scoots needed for the Motion Pro team to check - thier testing is over!! SORRY
Dang I just wanted to help - wasn't mentioned yesterday when I was there - oh well.

Re: Ride to Motion Pro

I was thinking about riding my daughters SV650S over there for the same tool you got, then I remembered I had swapped out her clip ons for Bars, so figured it would be what they were looking for, Oh well, what are you gonna do.

It sure is Tim - strange thing is the next time the group buy came up I was going to pick it up Then this cropped up so I just had to call em and dang if things didn't work out for me - this time anyway

I just got an e-mail that the testing is done and the Motion Pro team wont need any more scoots to check -- So sorry if anyone was planning on e-mailing or calling them.

Re: Ride to Motion Pro

Got to say my brother and I rode the Cow Bell endro with chris in the 60's, giving my age, Chris was 16 or 17 and fast!

I have talked to him at the Sheet Iron a few years ago, and the bikeshow in San Mateo last year, he still looks the same.

Re: Ride to Motion Pro

Nice to read that my words and pictures move people, so to speak.

(And I actually did reference the MP request in this thread.)

And last Friday, before I rode off to Elk Grove, I tested out the MP tool I got. Now though I'm thinking I really would rather have the Kowa T-handle wrenches, as I believe they're lighter in weight and the finish a beautiful and lovely high polish.

So ... can I borrow your chain breaker/riveter when I need 'em, dude?

"Got a particular bike? "

Would't ya know none of those words cept - bike - were used in my search
And sure any time on the chain tool! Those T-handle wrenchs are nice - they had a set on the bench next to where the bike was parked in the R&D room. Everythig that I saw that day (tool wise) is of great quality, real top notch stuff!!! And thanks for posting that info up it sure made for a awesome day meeting the people and seeing the place
