3rd Annual Colorado Trip
Just a few pictures of our trip to Colorado this year. Only 2 takers this year but we had a great time and will do it again next year!
Quick stop in Ganado for a much needed hydration session and some petrol.  The clouds played friendly on this warm summer day.  Officer Friendly reminded us that the speed limit on that long lonely stretch between Ganado and Mexican Hat was only 65. Whew!  On Day 2 we discovered one of our favorites stops from last year was out of business   At Ouray overlook - Town of Ouray:  Cool looking Harley in Silverton:  View of Kendall Mountain from Silverton:  Clouds rolling into Silverton:  Chocolate covered ants, crickets and grub worms abound in this little shop! Yummmm!   White Chocolate Covered Crickets $1.50 each...according to Todd, tastes like....popcorn?    Main Street Silverton:  Pioneer Observation lookout. Overlooks the Black Canyon        Along the Grand Mesa Scenic and Historic Byway.    Friendly young buck near Lake City:  Sportsman's Texaco - home of Texas Barbeque in the middle of Colordao!  The Silver River along the Silver Thread scenic byway near Lake City, Co.   Just outside of Lake City:   Between Lake City and Creede along the Silver Lake Scenic byway.    A quick stop along the San Juan River between South Fork and Pagosa Springs.

WOW - I had no idea Colorado was so amazing.......
I am in the process of "planning to change jobs" which could mean I will work with a company based out of Silicon Valley again.... You have just convinced me to ride from CA to Colorado and back.... AMAZING. Thank you for sharing the photo's |
