Some Days Things Just Look... Different

I needed to take a ride last weekend. I didn't have a lot of time, so I decided to do a favorite local loop west of Medford, known to us as the "Wimer loop." About half way through it I rode through a section that, right then and there, screamed "PHOTO OP!" I pulled over and got the "big" camera - my Nikon D50 - out, and rode back through the curves. There wasn't room to pull over most places that I wanted to get my shots and the D50 won't "left hand," so I decided to slow down to a speed that I could maintain through the curves and set the cruise control (I was on the Wing this day) so I could use the camera normally.

Then I turned around and continued on my ride...

I still needed more, so I rode over Condi Creek, east of Medford.

then, onto Dead Indian Memorial Highway...

Ain't it amazing what a couple of hours in the right places can do???

Ok Lewis, maybe on my way home from picking up the Bandito...

Geeze I really only got 3 days of good riding and then 7 waiting to get back to some good riding.

Great photos, looks like some wonderful roads. It was my intention to ride some of your better roads. Soon....

They keep a pretty good handle on most of the roads around here, although the road without lines (2 pictures near the end) was fixed so well a couple of years ago that it had about 4" of gravel over the oil when they seal-coated it.

Thanks! Say, I saw a thread mentioned where someone had tried to run over you on your bike. I'm certainly glad that they weren't successful. What's the story on your bike? Are you picking out a new ride?

I can take you over the roads in the pictures - and the roads between them and the freeway aren't bad, either - if you can spare a couple of hours on your way through.
