A wanderin on the Pathfiner

First of all , I 'd like to dedicate this little ride report to the memory of the fallen bike riders known to the folk of this parish and others I frequent , there have been too many since I last had a bike eighteen months ago .

SWMBO wanted to go for a short ride , so we got geared up and headed for Cirencester ,which is a favourite haunt of ours , with history dating back to Roman times , and many great buildings and things to do .

A beautiful afternoon ensued , and I found myself thinking of others less fortunate as I twisted the throttle in a curve or two whilst we meandered our way through the Cotswold countryside , passing through the lovely village of Bibury [ we will be stopping here on the way back ] - the wife was sitting on the back singing her head off .
Having arrived at our destination , we immediately headed for our favourite little place to eat , tucked away in a back street is a place called Jacks - well worth avisit for the homemade food which is ace ........

The Pathfinder parked up ..........

The cathedral ................... currently undergoing restoration ......

Poignant inscription on the war memorial .........

Window boxes ............

It always pay to look up ........... an old pub sign ........

Sneaked a photo of the wife window shopping...........

Standing at the junction of Black Jack Street and Silver Street .........

Last one in Cirencester ...I'm sure I told the garage to deliver the car to my home .......

On the way home , we stopped in Bibury , one of the most photographed places in the Cotswolds ...... still on the car theme

Arlington Row ........

Wildlife and flowers ...........

After walking round for a short while , it was time to get back on the bike for the half hour ride home across country , thanking my lucky stars that I have the opportunity to ride again .

Norm,
I'm sorry to hear about your mishap , but glad to see you are not more seriously hurt . Hopefully the weather will not stop you from riding in a couple of months time .

Take care , and say hi to the boss for me ,

Steve
