did someone say Colorado? more pictures
hey people, screw the economy! I got to go on a ride
 I just got back from my annual journey around southern Colorado.. about 800 pictures shot from the bike. I haven't had time to really sort through or do any touch ups but heres my handful of happiest shots thus far: my riding buddy for this trip.. a perfect shade of blue amongst all that orange hill-o-color talk about wide load.. this guy was barrelling down the canyon like he was in a pickup, kicking up rocks and sand like there was no tomorrow and when I finally did get a chance to pass him he got all wild eyed and flipped me off! they don't call it Lake City for nothin my blue heaven big red some September snow falling outside Durango it would have been a fantastic day for a ride on the old Durango/Silverton line.

I hope I don't catch any of that snow when I ride to Colorado this weekend. I do hope I get to see the sights you captured in your pictures. Great post! Thanks for giving me something to look forward to.

hwy 550 was the only place it got interesting, lots of cold afternoon rain in the southwest corner but the snow is staying up on the peaks for now. goes without saying though, be weary of the paint on the roads in that wet weather - I came across a Harley in a ditch that apparently lost control after his rear tire crossed the double yellow in a corner. also, with the rain there will be some decent sized rocks littering the road just south of Ouray. Demenshea, hah I don't know if i'll be adding more.. I always just take tons and tons of photo's and come up with a handful of gems.. Kebler pass was most amazing this year, though..

Jeff, those are some spectacular photos!! My only visit to Durango was in early October about 12 years ago, and the colors were like that. I love the Aspen trees (can never remember if they quiver or quake
 ) and the evergreens against them and the mountains makes some vivid photos.
