Utah Arizona Loop 3 days 1100 Miles
So I am learning a lot as I try to share the ride I took a group of “trusting souls “ on this summer. A little history is in order…..
I was invited by a group of guys on a ride to the Northern coast of California last year. We were to start out in Reno where some of us live and travel to the coast via every windy road we could find and then up the coast and back (via every twisty road we could find). Somewhere around Sea Ranch the splines on the input shaft of my BMW R1100s decided to let go mid pass ummm 80-100mph but who’s counting right ??? So the group rallied around me and helped me to Fort Bragg for one $795 U-Haul to get my bike home. Well I owed them a ride so here it is Hope you get a chance to cover this area of our amazing country. Like I said we started in Reno and Got across the great state of Nevada in style Got across via 95south to Tonopah and on to Alamo via 6, 375 (ET hwy), and 93. and arrived in St George Utah We stayed at the Ramada which is owned by my Brother in laws and they took great care of us. The next day the journey on two wheels began heading north to Cedar City on hwy 15 with a stop for Fuel Heading east on 14 we enjoyed cedar canyon [ATTACH]82967[ATTACH] and made our way to Bryce national park on hwy 12 This was one of those truly special moments to be in gods creation and have two sets of Fathers and sons together on the ride both of which were nearing 80/50 elder younger. How lucky are we really. Truly one of the picturesque roads in America get there somehow when you can. We then continued through the Escalante staircase and over the Devils backbone on 12 to Torrey UT where we spent the first night. part two coming |

Great ride and pics. I live in the area and know the roads very well. Highway 12 is a favorite, a 2Xs a year trip for me. (One solo and one with my son, usually.) Zion National Park is a favorite as is the Arizona Strip leading to Fredonia then the North Rim. Panguitch Lake area is pretty too.
