Re: The Need to Ride: a Treatise of Longing & Desire.
Tellin' us about his mods to the Bonnie.
You could be at the office. Or you could be in this pic. Harley parked next to a BMW GS. That's Pashnit. Got to check out the Scottoiler I had sold to Dave awhile back all hooked up. (Click the link to learn more about these.) Powered by tapping into the vacuum hose. |

Re: The Need to Ride: a Treatise of Longing & Desire.
One of the riders made the comment that they never would have known this view was here if we hadn't stopped and turned around.
And what a view it is. I had this photo of this stretch of road up in my office for probably 10 years. Add the bike and... Requisite stop at Seal Beach |

Re: The Need to Ride: a Treatise of Longing & Desire.
Next day.
It was off to explore backroads of Cental Cal's San Luis Obispo county. We were blessed for the entire day with virtually no cars or interference all day long no matter where we went. Gotta love that. Santa Rosa Creek Rd out of Cambria is a real favorite. Goaty. Bumpy. Twisty. Perfect. My new ride. See the ocean? |

Re: The Need to Ride: a Treatise of Longing & Desire.
Parkfield held a real treat. They'd just built this thing. In November, they're going to dismantle it so head on out here to check it out.
Like a bunch of little kids. Harder you jump, the more the Earthquake Machine reacts. Stomp on that lil dot there, and it would send a ripple across the top of the machine. Harder you stomped, bigger the simulated earthquake. You are now in the red zone. (see Parkfield?) |

Re: The Need to Ride: a Treatise of Longing & Desire.
I think we were all fascinated by Brad & his handicapped equipped Harley Sidecar rig
While Brad looks like your average Joe, he's actually a PHD & college professor, so wasn't sure if we should be addressing him as 'Doctor Brad'. ![]() Electric shifter - read up on these things here Crossing over the San Andreas Fault- From one teutonic plate to another See the bend in the bridge? |
