Pashnit Gathering Pictures - All our photos

Hey there fellow Pashniters,

Crash and I rode home last night, Crash to Antioch, and I to Dixon. I have to tell ya, it was much cooler riding after the sun went down. I don't envy those going back today. Anyway, I just wanted to be the first to get some pictures on the forum. I know there were a lot of cameras there, and I look forward to seing everyone else's pictures too.

Our small group met in Fairfield and Rio Vista. Anton (atoyf) came in from San Francisco, Kimber and Doni (kimber99) rode in from Petaluma, and I rode from Dixon. We met in Fairfied, then rode Hwy 12 to Rio Vista where we picked up Dan (crash) who came from Antioch. I can't tell you what a thrill it was for me to finally be able to put faces with the pashnit names I had been corresponding with.

When I met Tim at Big Trees, I wasn't sure whether to shake hands or get down on one knee. I compromised by shaking hands twice. I have been reading his work now for several years and am absolutley in awe of what he has accomplished. As I met others at the gathering, I tried desperately to keep names and faces straight, of those that have been immortalized in song and story on the forum. Oh well, I guess its a process.

An absolute highlight of this trip for me was taking a test ride on Gary's V-Strom. What a great guy. When I got back riding around the campground, Gary told me to take it out on Hwy 4 for a real test. I told Gary that it was a big mistake for me to have ridden his bike. NOW I WANT ONE!

This event was so exciting for me, I hope we do it on a regular basis.

This last one was taken just outside of Copperoctopus. I saw this sky on the way home and thought I'd try my hand at some time exposures. Mediocre at best but it was fun.

This was actually the first bike to show up but I figured I would save that for last

I spent only a few minutes with the camera. Shooting pics of the bikes. Too much time chatting with everyone.

One interesting thing to note - As you look through these 20-30 photos of the bikes- Note the variety.

Below really is a sample of the wonderful variety of motorcyclists that are on this board. Harley parked next to a BMW parked next to a Hayabusa parked next to a metric cruiser parked next to a GS. Even an Honda XR250 sitting there.
