Malcom Smith Gives Congress the Finger

Awesome.

Quote:
In defiance of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 - or CPSIA - which prohibits the sale of youth motorcycles and ATVs deemed unhealthy for children under 12 due to supposed high-levels of lead content, motorcycle dealer Malcolm Smith will sell these banned vehicles as a sign of protest.

As a sign of support, a group of small business people and high-profile motorcycle industry celebrities, including racers Jeff Ward and Jeremy McGrath, Glen Helen Raceway owner Bud Feldkamp, and motorsport design guru Troy Lee have all agreed to be on hand to purchase banned units for use by their own children and grandchildren.

Re: Malcom Smith Gives Congress the Finger

Thank goodness for people like Malcolm Smith. He has always been an innovator and leader in the motorcycle industry. Our son was 4 years old when he got his 1st ATC 70 and our daughter was 3 when she got her 1st TriZinger 60. I don't recall ever seeing them lick the bike, so I guess thats why it never affected them.

WOW!
I'm impressed!
Go Malcom!
I think this is part of the same bill that banned the sale/resale of all childrens books printed before 1985.
It's not only about protecting kids from lead paint, it "protects" them from pre-1985 values.

Next they'll be banning children from having thumbs, removing them at birth to avoid the children putting them in their mouths and getting germs!!!
