You can also look at Hein Gericke's line.

Thanks rider. It's looking like I'm gonna have to go Vanson or BMW, since most gear manufacturers seem to think that women don't need gear much less any kind of selection.
Kanji, I don't believe that the manufacturers think that women don't need gear and I do believe that the selection of woman's gear is better than it has ever been. You are in the garden of Eden, when it comes to shopping for moto-gear. I can't imagine a better selection than right now.

I have bought many an item and ended up returning it solely because it didn't fit, so sometimes the best web deals aren't the best.

Vanson makes some excellent gear and it is sized to fit us. Olympia make great touring gear. Joe Rockets make protective and stylish gear and they definitely make a perforated leather. If you are really serious go to Bates Leather and have your leathers custom made for you. Also check Fieldsheer.

There are a million options! U just need to go shopping, girl!!

Re: Looking for womens perforated leather pants

Kanji, if you're thinkin' BMW or Vanson I have a couple of good contacts for you. At Irv Seaver's BMW in Orange, Jim O'Brien is a great guy and has terrific knowledge of apparel. Plus, it's a great place to do business with...

At ProItalia in Glendale, there's a lady there named Karen (I think) who used to work at Vanson and is also very knowledgeable. If you need something custom-fitted, she's a good one to see.

I had forgotten about Bates (they're in Long Beach), for years I wore their "Fast Lane" boots and still have a pair. But last time I dealt with them (zipper replacement) they seemed to not care too much about customer service. Coulda been me, but I really don't think so... they do make great stuff, though.

Re: Looking for womens perforated leather pants

Cycle Gear as gotten there Frank Thomas woman's Perf jackets in and are expecting the pants. in the next couple of weeks. They should be about 180 when they get them. Check with your local cycle gear.

Also it is not leather but just down the road from you in San Marcos (OK maybe not just down the road but 90 mins) is motoport/cycleport
http://motoport.com/
They have some very good textile gear. If you are looking for gear to use for sport touring it is probably the best out there. They will also custom fit it to you. I have all leather now but my next investment will be the cycleport textile gear

+1 on Cycle Gear. If they don't have your size they will get it from another store. It is trial and error because women's sizing varies between manufacturer's which is further compounded by low inventory as there ain't enough of us riding motorcycles to justify stocking all sizes if any. CycleGear has great sales every once in awhile. I picked up my Dainese track suit at 40% off.

Looks like stores are getting their perforated leather in now so I'm sure you'll score something soon.

I'm sure you are right about us having more options than ever before.
I guess I have tunnel vision.
I've only been shopping for gear for the last three years, and what I have seen is that there were more women's models available three years ago from makers like Joe Rocket and sidi (boots). In terms of pants, I am only considering pants with protection in the knee AND hip, many models I've seen don't have protection in the hip area, or don't have protection at all.
That said, I haven't even considered many of the options.
I'm an ATGATT nazi, at least for myself.

Yeah! Shopping!

Re: Looking for womens perforated leather pants

+1 on Motoport if you decide to go with textile. I have the Air Mesh Kevlar pant. It works great in the summer heat. And it's loaded with armor.

+1 on going custom if you can.

I have been thinking about getting leathers, too. http://www.johnsonleather.com/ is up in San Francisco. I like the fact they use the Forcefield armor. They have perforated leather as an option.

I was also looking into http://www.zcustom.com/ and http://www.pilotusa.com/custom/index.html and they're both in So Cal.
