Yeah, just bought a pair last month. Great Value, excellent fit, good looks and very comfortable. Only thing I wish they had is some shin armor. They have heal and toe ABS protection and by-the-way, great soles -- real sticky! And for $120.00, Almost a steal. I have not has the opportunity to test the waterproofing however. So I have to take their word for the waterproof claims.
I bought them for short to mid-range trips. For my full-blown interstate tours or if I anticipate going off-road, I wear my big heavy BMW Enduro boots. But for the price and quality, I don't see how you can go wrong with these Tourmasters. |

Cortech Solution WP Road Boot, $99
BTW Steve, I notice that you're a Ham too. I pounded out my first 5wpm for Willie van de Kamp a few hundred yards from where that covered bridge pic was taken on Honeyrun road. Had to go all the way to Stockton to take my Tech, then got my General at G.E.A.R.S. Haven't been active the last several years. Guess the computer just came along and got in the way...never fell out of a tree installing a computer!

Re: Tourmaster Boots
I'm no medical professional, but I have injured my ankles in motorcycle falls a few times each over the years, the latest as some of you may be aware, was last June.
I got a chance to try on a pair of these boots at the dealer Saturday, and there's no way I'd pay $100-120 for a pair of 'em. Appearance, was ok, when they're covered by the pantleg, they look pretty much like ordinary boots and the sole seems limber enough to be comfortable for extended wear "off machine". Fit, seemed long and narrow on my short, fat foot...I usually wear an 11-12, depending on width, and I definately had to go with the 12 in this boot. This boot zips up and is secured with hook-n-loop fasteners that don't allow you to snug the top of the boot up to your leg, thereby providing nearly zero ankle support, which leads us to... Protection, I deem less than adequate. The pair that I tried on didn't have any kind of protection in the toes, I was able to push the leather in and touch my toe easily. Nor was there any kind of ankle or shin protection, other than that provided by the leather and a small amount of padding. IMHO, a good pair of leather tactical boots with the laces properly secured provides a LOT more ankle support than these boots seem to. Overall, if you're looking for a pair of budget boots that look ok and that you can wear "off machine" without suffering from the dreaded "fashion defeceit" then I would give these boots a "Meh", they're ok, but don't expect much ankle protection. I'd recommend going with something like the Alpinestar "Web" boot, available in the $120 price range, or a good pair of tactical boots with the laces properly secured in the $40-50 price range.

Re: Tourmaster Boots
Steve, Its' been awhile since your post but if you haven't layed down the bucks on your boots, you may want to consider the Sidi Strada Tepor boot.
I was looking for a good all-around boot, comfort, water proof, with maximum protection. I purchased mine online from MotoNation, Yes they are a bit pricey at $220 but they are quality. I've used mine for the past four months, in cold and wet weather and am very pleased with them. http://www.motonation.com/item.asp?cid=2&scid=9&pid=2&rdir=1

Hi,
My wife bought a pair for me at Christmas time. Didn't think much of them until I started wearing them. I have had BMW and Prexport boots in the past. I ride an RT1100 and a KLR650. The Solution WP's have been very comfortable and completely water proof, on both bikes, even in the snow and slush here in the Hayfork area. They clean up real easy and look good as new after a ride. Great value for the price! Tom |

Re: Tourmaster Boots
Been riding with the Aerostitch Combat Touring boot for 6 months or so. They are tough to break in but way sturdy and almost up to the knee, easy to tuck in riding pants or go over the boot with a riding suit.
And they are made by SIDI. Not cheap though. |
