Sean - Here's the original:

Smugmug is a favorite with the motorcycling crowd, if you right click the photos, you can change the extension to S (small) or M (medium) or L (Large) or O (original).

Re: Navarro Redwoods, Alexander Valley,

How ironic. I have one of your articles sitting here on my desk. The one on Nevada City. Have done several articles for Friction Zone too, and they've asked me to do some longer Road Trip articles, but always seem to be buried in big projects. (Like this! ) Go figure. Amy & Pat are a good bunch of ladies running that outfit.

Re: Navarro Redwoods, Alexander Valley,

I just checked the website for friction zone. I think I'll ask for a subscription for my birthday. Looks like a nice mag to add to my collection of subscriptions. I just can't read enough about motorcycling....

Incredible pics, by the way Bonneville. I especially like the first one. Nothing like towering Redwoods to shelter the perfect road for the perfect ride!

It's a State Park and because of that the speed limits are very modest. But that is a place where it doesn't matter, in fact it seems to invite you to slow down. You could go fast there, but something about the security of the redwood canopy, green ferns and bittersweet scent of damp soil that says, "lay back a bit".

Sometimes on a road like this, I stop and get off the bike. I step back a few paces and look at the bike, the road, the sky and the tree's. I cannot believe how rich I am.
