Can am spyder .... Pshaw!
Thought a Can Am Spyder would be fun to have around. Even tried talking the wife into getting one .... then I saw this.

Re: Can am spyder .... Pshaw!
That just looks plain dangerous to me! I could see me trying to stretch out these arthritic knees and getting a foot caught in the back tire to have it pull me off the machine and spit me out on the pavement like ground hamburger. Nooo thanks! Pretty cool looking though. Maybe for batman sans the cape.

Wow, that thing is way cool! I wonder how it is registered though. It has four wheels so could you get away with calling it a motorcycle/trike or would it be considered a car?
I'd like one with a LS7 motor or a blown LS3! |

Re: Can am spyder .... Pshaw!
Okay, it's an automobile. It has 4 tires, however, it does not have a windscreen or most of the other necessary federally mandated equipment to allow it to be registered for use on the roads of most of the USA. Like the Can Am Spyder it's some sort of hybrid that's unique but less than ideal for any given purpose unless it was built for a racing class as yet to be announced.
It's ugly, looking like something put together for a sequel to the "Mad Max" movies or a prototype of something possibly useful in any of the SF road warrior movies but not anything that might be acceptable in most traffic situations. Add to these complaints the fact that it looks uncomfortable as well as impractical and is probably outrageously expensive and I wonder why you brought this to our attention. I do, regardless of my critical comments, give this vehicle my vote as the newest automotive entry likely to be inadvertently run over by a semi or SUV changing lanes because its low profile makes it nearly invisible. It's a rat trap, beguiling, attractive to a given type and number of user and likely to kill or mangle a certain proportion of those same users. The vehicle demonstrated in the video might be looked upon as some sort of exotic sports car sans body work and other desirable or required equipment and if that's the case then there other vehicles in that class that offer better looks, more comfort, more safety and an extremely agile handling package to provide the owner/operator an overall pleasant motoring experience. Some of these same vehicles are also pleasantly affordable.

As my Granddaughter would say "that was just silly". Plus, I can understand her even though she's just 3!

I wonder why the video doesn't show any cornering?

Re: Can am spyder .... Pshaw!
If it already has 4 wheels, why not just get a Lotus Seven?
