Happy birthday to me!!

Yes I am one year older today...29 for the 5th time!!! But I wanted to share something with ya.

I defied the doc's again last night and went to a bike show about 45 miles from the house. Was at a shop that caters mroe to Harley's and cruisers. I have the only Busa or sport bike o fany type there. They had 4 classes. Harley, metric, cruiser and best of show. I didnt win anything as far as metric class goes, but the lady that won the metric class actually came to me right after she was handed her trophy and told the judge that I deserved it. I was astounded after i looked at her cruiser. WOW!!!! It was chromed out to the max. I couldnt beleive her or what she said. But, here is the kicker to the story. It was me, my other half, my brother and some of his friends there. My brother was wakling around when they were giving ou tthe awards. He walked over towards her bike after she had left me and heard her talking to her friends. He heard her say that sport bikes dont belong in bike shows. And she said they dont count. I felt about 2" tall after I heard this. I dont understand some people's opinions about these bikes. I know alot of people get killed on these things, but you can get killed just as easy on a moped as you can on a bike.

My other half does fund raisers for March of Dimes because our daughter was 3 1/2 months early and only weighed 1lb 12oz when she was born. We are planning on a bike show hopefully before ir gets cold for a fundraiser. I wont be partial to sportbikes just because I own one. We are going to have several classes.

It just makes my blood boil when I get critisized about what type of bike I have. i just tell everyone that I got what I liek an dthey got what they like. end of story!!

Happy Happy birthday to you Melvin! That lady was a goon and I wouldn't worry about it! I got sneers at the MSF class for my GSX650F and it's not a racer or anything. I just ignore that stuff! I'll ride what I want! (and like!)

NO one should be sneering at that bike. I saw pics of your bike from the Girlie ride. Holy Cow!! What a great lookin' bike. Fast just sittin' there. If I had a sport bike, I would want it to look like yours. Not all of them look that good. Good color choices.

HAPPY B DAY DUDE.... Enjoy your ride. It takes talent to stap on one of them puppies, not to mention you can go slow if you want to, but the cruisers soon disapear in the mirror ifin ya wiggle yer little finger... I was thinking about when I was 29 and it was the year my dad died. Dang, that was in 1975. Another life time ago... Its well past Miller time and time for cake.... Mr AJ
