The new VFR is unveiled tonight!
The official unveiling of the new vfr1200 happens tonight at 1 am (ok Thursday morning). You can see the new bike at
http://www.newvfr.com/ Us VFR fanatics have been waiting for this moment since 2005. Honda made effectively zero changes to the bike since the vtec came out in 2002, until now. We are extremely excited. The new bike gives me the impression that it will be similar to the FJR1300. We hope it is smaller and more agile though. It is funny to me that many of the vfr fans have been hoping upon hope that honda would come out with a faster vfr, which is funny to me that a pretty agile touring bike with ~105hp would be thought of as underpowered. It is also funny to me since approx 100% of the street riders would never be able to max out the handling and sporting characteristics of such a "slow" bike. But to be fair the current vfr's are dated in the motorcycle world currently carrying an 8 year old model with no significant changes. Anyways, for us VFR fans, today is a big day. And as soon as I pay off my truck, I think it will be very soon that I own one of these new bikes.

Re: The new VFR is unveiled tonight!
Well we already know the new bike isn't all that much bigger than the CBR1000RR. I didn't realize today was the big reveal. I've been following the spy shots and bits of info that have come out for a while now.

Oh my... and here I sit in Glasgow, Scotland (
UK Pashnites!), eight hours ahead of the Californians and five hours ahead of the East Coasters... ... <nanner, nanner, nanner> Now if I can just stay up three more hours...

If it's $18,000, then once again, Honda will have priced itself out of the market. It's gotta be right with the FJR for decent numbers in sales.

Well its 1 AM California time, adjust accordingly. But my guess on the price is $14k and 165hp. But to be fair I have no idea. Supposedly it is a little bigger and rumors of shaft drives abound.

Re: The new VFR is unveiled tonight!
What's an FJR cost when you add the Honda premium?
