A Wet Commute with the GoPro

Thought I'd share with you all my commute this morning.

My current modes of transportation are a motorcycle, 8 bicycles, 2 inline skates and a canoe. I have no car. So, stormy days like today are a challenge.

I didn't have to go out this morning, but I did on the motorcycle although the canoe would have been more appropriate.

I volunteer 3 days a week at my local SPCA. They know not to expect me when the weather is this bad…they know I ride. But, I knew one of the other volunteers was not going to be in so my help was needed. I can't let those special animals down so I pulled out the rain gear and suited up.

This is what was on the doppler a few minutes before I left. I live just north of the red splotches and the storm was heading north.

Just for fun, I attached my GoPro to the bike and split lanes at 60mph …no, not really but you'll have to watch the short video to see what I mean.

Hope you enjoy.

I love the choice of music! Really lightens the piece!
I would have guessed Verde...
A real departure for Bach - at least that what I have heard has been heavier and more staid.

Very nice. I too commute daily rain or shine. I have saved a lot of footage but I am so bad at editing. I get frustrated and give up. the programs seen to be to complicated for me. I have yet to finish one with music.
Again ... great job

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I'm amazed at how well the GoPro works in such inclement weather.

Re: A Wet Commute with the GoPro

I just ordered one of the GoPro HD cameras, now got to figure out how to use it and make video with music to share with forum. Any input for me? I am using PC Window 7 ultimate and downloaded movie maker 2.6 so far.

See my thread, thx Ron: D

Lloyd, have you tried Windows Movie Maker ? Basic but easy to use.
