Yuba River Adventure Ride

If you are looking for an adventure ride that is guided and filled with history and adventure then this ride is for you. Here are the details:

Date: 4-10-2010
Time: 945 AM
Location: Chevron Station. Eldorado Hills, California
4316 Town Center El Dorado Hills Ca 95762
Cost: $75.00
Lunch: Half way point. Normally deli sandwhiches.

Yuba River Gold Country Dual Sport Adventure Ride; explores the best dirt roads and back roads in the Yuba River Canyon and the ancient San Juan Ridge.

The Yuba River Canyon and the ancient San Juan Ridge, north of Nevada City, was the location of a massive hydraulic mining operation during the California Gold Rush. The hydraulic mining blasted away huge quantities of the ancient river beds of the San Juan Ridge leaving behind vast canyons and dramatic cliff-sides throughout the countryside.

This adventure ride explores some of the most dramatic hydraulic carving in the entire gold country including the spectacular and historic Malakoff Diggins and nearby ghost town known as North Bloomfield. First settled in 1852, the mining camp was originally named Humbug after the creek of the same name.

There’s also a remote hard-rock gold mine that you can actually explore, so don’t forget to bring a flash light

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

If you have been thinking about riding dual sport, have a street legal dual sport bike and feel like having a blast, come on down. Visit www.sierranevadaadventures.com or contact Mark Girardi at markg@sierranevadaadventures.com

Re: Yuba River Adventure Ride

For anyone who missed this ride, we had a blast. It was a rain or shine event and of course it was rainy and chilly. But that didnt stop our group from riding the Yuba River area for some adventure into the history of the gold mining country in our area. Here are some pics of the ride.
