Pine Mtn Club/Lockwood valley/ SR33
To my surprise today - spotted CHP way off the beaten path back there today, shocking for me since I go way out there to enjoy the roads back there and now its not a good idea any more.
Cudy Val Rd / Cerro Nostre = about 10 miles nw out of PMC spotted a CHP back there heading up hill = seriously wtf ![]() 2 weeks before 2 slick top CHP cars back there one at mid way and one at the bottom. S33 at the peak of highway 33 before dropping back down to Lockwood Valley rd. S33 just south of the 166Hwy spotted a SB county Sheriff SUV doing patrols back there. so thanks for those who posted their a55hatery on youtube. names misspelled intentionally just as a heads up to all about this, never seen any LEO back there at all. |

Yes, I'm not only sad about this but I'm bent now, but this is the reason why I do sweeper runs to check things out. Luckily I was not in my roll-caged canyon ride
So, IDK if you guys have heard if your caught 20mph over the posted its up to the officer to decide if you just get a yellow time slip with a court date or a 30day impound and 2nd time offense = confiscation and destruction

I've seen Smokey the Bear up on Cerro Noreste before, but not on 33. They are out there though.

SR33-yeah it was a shock for me today - luckily I was rolling in the sleeper today, I was going about 60mph on the bends before you get up to the peak and I had passed someone earlier and sure enough CHP just passed over the crest and I was going about 55-60mph. and just south of the 166 on 33 on the straight-a-way was not to reassuring so that was new as well. |

The advice I got from a friend was to get out there early before all the squids wake up.

Bascially the best road in so.cal is burned. Time to get back into go-karts and save up for trackdays at Laguna Seca.
