We had a very unusual ride along Hwy 1 Big Sur. Normally there are tons of cars & tourists.

But Hwy 1 has collapsed some miles north of here. Zero traffic. Zero other people. No cars for miles at a time. It was a first.

And as fates would have it, at Gorda a few days after the tour, Hwy 1 collapsed in a 2nd place and has completely covered the highway. Lucky for us we made it through!

If you know the area outside Santa Margarita, look up the Pozo Loop.

The hidden passed over road is Las Palitas & Huer Huero. Awesome!!

Oh and quite a few stream crossings during super-rainy spring season.
