Okay Dale, it's simply time, you have to retire that grainy avitar. You've shot way too much amazing photography to pass up!
Here's the avitar we have to convince Dale to retire. |

Re: Help Dale pick a new avitar
# 3 has my vote but # 8 is runner up. I think that # 1 is the best but the pole in the background spoils the pic.

Alaskan and airborne.

Re: Help Dale pick a new avitar
I have to agree. 3 and 8 both look pretty good, but I'm leaning more toward 3, because it has the better background.

Re: Help Dale pick a new avitar
Numbers 1 thru 4 and 10 all have part of the bike chopped off. Number 7 has the best combination of bike AND background. But I think I like number 5 best because it gives the feeling of a long distance road runner---open curvy road- no traffic - enjoy the ride! Maybe we should ask Dale which one HE likes best and wants? Naahh, we can decide, its our duty------??-STan

Re: Help Dale pick a new avitar
Oops sorry about that. The current avatar is one that someone sent me from the Horseshoe Bend (Idaho) Chiliburger Run that I do every year the first Saturday in October (and one of the few of me I have on my bike). I guess I'll have to select a good one from some of my photos and see if I can please you. In the Dec/Jan 2005 edition of RoadBike they ran a photo of mine that I sent in (plus a few of my comments on the GL1800) for a good article on the new Goldwing. They wanted me to send in 4 or 5 photos I thought were good ones, but they kept asking for one of me on the bike which I didn't have, so they ran this one from the Carson Pass and Silver Lake.
![]() I still have a bunch of photos and trips I haven't put on the net or my website so maybe this weekend I can find something that is a bit better quality and more to your liking. If not, then I'll just have to go out and make a new one this weekend (ouch!!). Meanwhile I change over to one I like that is on LoLo Pass Road (Hwy 12) up in Montana (and one heck of a awesome road with great sweepers where you can get the rpms a humming, even on an 1800......) ![]() Thanks, DaleC |
