A few days on the Oregon coast

Once you lay your eyes on the Oregon coastline, it’s a feast for your senses. Our vacation plans must have changed a dozen times before we were actually on the road. This visit to the Pacific Northwest was to help Meredith's brother and sister-in-law with the moving of their parents. We also decided to trailer the motorcycle to Bend, Oregon and find a week to play and explore….. and as life would have it, Meredith had to take her dog Charley, to the vet and have him put to sleep the day before we left.





On our drive, we took some time to check out a few areas of interest… and hike around. The John Day Fossil Beds…. Layers of wind sculpted volcanic ash









So, as the saying goes… “All work and no play….” We finally found time to get away and take a week long ride to the Oregon coast….. but first, Crater Lake National Park.







Enough snow to skin-up and ski….

Our daughter and her boyfriend drove over from Olympia, WA and met us in Long Beach, WA for the day

The following ride the next day, was our wettest as we rode through the Columbia River Gorge and back to Bend, Oregon… It dried out somewhat just south of The Dalles… not many pictures this day
