Re: What was your first bike?
Mine was a 2005 VStar 650. Donna was one of the first Pashnits I met. We had a great time on our inaugural Birthday Trip! We've come a long way baby!!!

Re: What was your first bike?
I got out of the Navy in Dec. 77 and became an Oregon Logger. My buddy's from the Navy said we should all get Harley's and meet somewhere in 20 years. We didn't find each other until 30 years later. One buddy got his, but sold it. The other buddy didn't get his bike at all. I bought mine 1977 FXE (shovelhead) new in late '78. So far it's the only vehicle I have ever bought new. I sold it after 20 years and 275,000 miles for twice what I bought it for. All those miles, it only put me on the side of the road twice; and that was for a blow out on a rear tire and a broken throttle cable. Both of which I fixed on the side of the road.

Re: What was your first bike?
Thanks, Dan. That was when I realized I could barely keep up with Donna's 1200 aka Lola and decided to start looking for a bigger bike. Little did I know it would happen not much in the future when I found my Victory.

Re: What was your first bike?
Although I had rode friends' bikes off and on through my younger days, none of them belonged to me, and all the begging and pleading in the world would not convince the parents to let me get one of my own.
So I had a "little" experience when I bought my first bike, which was a Harley Road King. It was hardly enough experience to justify a bike like that for my first bike, which I purchased at age 45. But I am still in one piece, 10 years, 3 bikes, and many miles later. I am currently in transition. I sold the Busa' a few weeks back. Next bike will be bike #5. I've had 2 Goldwings, the next bike will be either another Goldwing, or a BMW GSA. Not sure yet. Then there are the Victorys too (thanks for reminding me Fishy!). Ah so many bikes, so little time.

Re: What was your first bike?
A used 1965 Matchless G15 CSR. Soon as I was assigned to my 1st Air Force base, in 1966, I went into the credit union to find out how to get a loan. A member of my sqd. was having another baby and needed the money. Ran like a top, handled way better than the HD Sportster I replaced it with.

Re: What was your first bike?
Not my first, but my first road bike. Yikes, this shot was taken 38 years ago! Lucky to have been riding for a long time I guess.
