Problem with ABS module on R1150RT

Hi there,
My abs module on my BMW R1150RT 2002 seems to have surrended. Looks like I have to replace it. I search on the web for a used one, and unfortunately I found none (some might say "fortunately", since finding one might means there has been a serious accident with his/her bike). Has anybody heard about such a part available somewhere? Thanks.
(sorry for my English, I live in northeast area (Quebec City) where English language is not that popular)

You sure it's done? It is a complex unit, but well made. Perhaps it just needs a good cleaning. Flushing the brake system on an RT is not a simple task, but if neglected could cause things to gum up.

Try these guys ... they have rebuilt many a BMW motorcycle ABS unit and get rave reviews.

Problem with ABS module on R1150RT

These folks are on the East Coast -

Beemer Boneyard

Their stock is always changing so you should send them an e-mail telling them what you're after

Another rebuild option that is recommended by Ted Porters Beemer Shop ... if Ted says they are good ... that's enough for me.

Re: Problem with ABS module on R1150RT

Thanks to all for your help. Unfortunately, I haven't been able so far to find a replacement for my abs module on my 2002 R1150RT (part # 34517685787).

However, I found a used abs module that came from a R1150RTP 2002, i.e. the Police version of this module. This version is supposed to be partially integral (instead of fully integral on my own R1150RT). In fact, this module has almost the same part #, only the last digit is different (34517685789).

I read that this module might fit on my 2002 R1150RT, that I would end up with a partially integral ABS brake. On the other end, the mechanic at my BMW dealer says he's not sure and wouldn't try it. Has anybody heard someone actually did this replacement?

In the meantime, I bought another RT. I could not wait to fix the old one.

Thanks again.
