Folsom to Lake Taho

Hi guys,
I am beginner of riding motorbike. Could you please suggest some routes for me to go from Folsom to Lake Taho? Is there any route to taho where I dont need to go via highway ?

Try this. 88 is an awesome road - gentle turns and not too technical... may have a lot of traffic on it if riding during the weekend. Allow yourself lots of time (maybe do an overnight and reverse the route home?), enjoy the scenery, and ride your own ride.

You can make it all the way from Folsom to Strawberry without getting on 50, but it's a circuitous route and you'll need a map that shows secondary roads.

From Folsom you take Green valley road up to Placerville. Then from east Placerville, you get on Pony Express Trail, which paralells 50 up to Pollock Pines. Then you ride down to Sly Park and get onto Mormon Emigrant Trail, and follow that east about 25 miles to where the upper end of Silver Fork road comes out. You go down (north) 10+ windy miles to Packsaddle Pass road, which goes over a ridge and drops down to Strawberry, just downhill of the big meadow. Then you have to do the last leg of 50 to Myers.

I can relate, my little KLX is super sketchy on the freeway and I try to avoid it.
